Credit Rating

A Credit Rating is an assessment of the credit worthiness of an issuer, the so-called Issuer Rating, or of a financial instrument, for example, Bonds, known as the Issuance Rating.

Since June 2002 Bertelsmann has an Issuer Rating from the rating agencies Standard & Poor's and Moody's. The current ratings of Bertelsmann are as follows:

The benchmark bonds ISIN XS0268584298, ISIN XS0268583993 and ISIN XS0408678133 as well as benchmark bonds issued under the under Debt Issuance Programme (MTN) ISIN XS0230962853 and ISIN XS0408678133 were rated by Standard and Poor's and Moody's at the issuance date with BBB+ and Baa1, respectively. The rating of the financial instruments corresponds to the issuer rating.
